The finale...the finale would've been a great stand alone show, Riker and Troi didn't need to be there. Have to admit, though, having Riker as chef was kind of a neat idea. Remembering the Pegasus episode made me think, Okay, when the hell is all this happening? Didn't get the idea from the original that all that much time was involved, certainly not enough for Riker to go play on the holodeck. Glad he left Deanna's green dress out of it, though. (If you didn't read Imzadi, I'm going to feel really stupid.) Best part is, we got it brand new from a video game store but someone sold it, so even though it was still sealed in the plastic, it was 45 bucks.

Stace won't watch it, though. Tried to get her to watch Broken Bow on Sci Fi tonight, and between her being sick and it not being HER ship with HER captain, she wouldn't do it. Spoilsport.

Enterprise Season 4? Sean, you are the only poster thus far of whom I am slightly envious. I loved Season 4 of Enterprise... except for the series finale, which was so bad taht Jeannie and I were royally pissed off when we were done watching it.

Well, I got my Enterprise season 4,along with a new subscriptiont to Videomaker, a good mag for camera heads like me. (Bill Mulligan--if you haven't seen it, you might want to check it out. Yeah, the toys they review are pricey, but the techniques are pretty good.) And continuing in a long line of Scullion husbands, everything I got Stace got taken back, but not for size, because DVDs are pretty much one size, but when she's already GOT the silly things--oh well. My brother in law, though-he got the complete Bond DVD collection.

You know, I saw a couple interviews that Brooks did when World War Z came out, put it on my gotta get this list, and it's still there. Along with both of PAD's hardcovers, and a few editing tomes. Oh, I got Teach Yourself After Effects, too. Can't WAIT to see what I can do with that. (That's special effects generating software, for any non-video people.)

Jerry, your first post didn't go through because of a quirk in the WordPress blog settings. I thought I'd set things so that anyone could post without having their comments held for moderation. But what apparently is happening is that posts from non-subscribers are going straight through (as intended), while the first post from a new subscriber is being held for moderation (which is unintended). I'm going to have to figure out how to fix that. I don't want to have to moderate any posts, period.

I sit next to a fella at work who has XM radio, by the way, and he LOVES it.

As for the new blog, even with the glitches and the learning curve it's still far and away better than the old GoDaddy QuickBlog I was using. That blog was ugly, ugly, ugly! And inflexible. WordPress is so much nicer! And it's free to boot. :)

Well, it seems that Santa also brought you a nice new blog for Christmas.

:)

My Christmas was kind of an audio theme this year. I got an XM Radio set and some XM gift cards to cover the first six months of use. The wife and the parents went in on that stuff together so they were able to get the copmlete kits.

I got The Rats in the Walls as performed by The Atlanta Radio Theatre Company to complete my collection of their H.P. Lovecraft works. If you've never heard these guys before, you have to check out...

http://www.artc.org/

I also got the CD version of World War Z. I'll second the opinion that World War Z is a good read (even for the non-undead fanatics out there). I got it for my birthday last month (and a late Happy Birthday to you, Mulligan) but went a little loopy when I saw the CD version on the racks. The cast for it is actually pretty cool.

And the rest of what I got for Christmas was lots and lots of face time with lots and lots of the family. Man, it feels so nice to be back at work. I really need the rest after the holidays. :)

(And, Bill, don't worry about going in and changing my posting name. It's not a screw up. I registered my full name on the site rather then just using a "C" by itself. If however, you end up with two posts from me with my X-Mas list in it... please kill one. I hit post and nothing showed up so I wrote it all again.)

Liquor, chocolate and books! And gift cards to my two favorite stores - Beers of the World and Barnes & Noble. If only they could be combined into Beers & Noble....

Since I'm zipping around the Northeast visiting family I get my gifts in dribs and drabs ("Really? I get mine in boxes!" RIMSHOT!!!) but my favorote so far has been Z-WAR, an amazing "oral history" of the big Zombie Uprising of the near future.

You know me, I'm cool with all things zombie, good or bad, but this is actually very very good. The description of what happens in North Korea actually gave me chills.
